Under Cover

Plainly hidden
Amidst the crowd,
Exhibiting only
What is necessary
To function,
To participate
Within
The charade.

Inner secrets
Heavily guarded
As personal treasure,
Locked away
From quizzical eyes
Longing to judge
And create
Unease.

Lost to a world
In need
Of originality,
The potential costs
Seemingly too dear.
The soul’s price
Remains, yet
Unconsidered.

This is both a Magpie Tale and a 55 Flash Fiction piece. Interested in reading others? Click here… http://magpietales.blogspot.com and here… http://g-man-mrknowitall.blogspot.com/

The first stanza gripped me completely, it took my breath away. And then you continued to amaze and delight. There is a very profound message woven into the lines of this wonderful poem.
