55-Tides

Timeless tides
Washing over her -
Gently covering, then
Exposing all that is - seeming
Without consequence.
With each new wave,
Ever more of her
Façade
Is worn
Away, until
At last, the light
Shines brightly for those
With wisdom enough to see,
Naturally guiding
All who seek,
Away from
Contrary
Dreams
Anchored in
Stubborn blindness.

Felicitas,

Tides are powerful. They remind us that nothing stays still in life. Energy rises and falls. Well done.

Indeed, stubbornness is usually blind. Nice metaphore and I really like that picture.

You seem to be somebody worth reading - thus, I shall Follow. :)

tight 55 felicitas...the tides is such a metaphor washing away for those to see what is hidden underneath at least if ou are not stubborn...so relaxing to let the waves wash over you as well...

This is REALLY GOOD, Felicitas! We each one have some of that "light" sometimes hidden deep down within...

Like the will of the masses. We are all ground in the tides of fate.

Wow, Felicitas. WOW. What a perfect combination of 55 words -- not the *first* time I read a poem of yours and hoped you'd be announcing a chapbook soon, but this is certainly in the running to be a favorite of mine! In imagery and thought, it's really wonderful.

Loved the metaphors here, just like the tides reveal the beach beneath, the tides of life can reveal other things hidden too.
Great photo.
