Hope Renewed

Winter winds
So carelessly blown:
A harsh and
Penetrating assault
On a heart
Wide open and true.

Too long
Over-burdened,
By chilly disregard,
A presence left bare,
Vulnerable
To the elements,
Becomes
Tightly cloaked.

Then hope,
In another form,
Alights with Spring.
An alluring warmth
Procuring promises
Of tender days,
And love is
Welcome, again.

This is one post I wish I could freeze in time to read and re-read. It soothes as it gives way to spring.

Love all the subjects of this one: spring, hope, openness, vulnerability. Nice!

Felicitas,

Very nice. Enchantingly favorable. You're a natural poet. So many things spring forth in the spring.

That's fantastic. I read it through twice and want to again; thank goodness for an end to winter. (any kind of winter!)

Happy Spring Felicitas!

It seems that spring is on everyone's minds these days, as is the thought of love! Very cool!

An award for you at my site today!

Felicitas said...

It's hard not to be inspired by springtime - especially after a long and hard winter!

Thank you all for your lovely words. And Dulce, thank you again for that beautiful award! I will proudly display it on my blog.

Ah Spring, the season of hope and rebirth!

My brother who lives in toronto told me that winter was not so severe this year!

Felicitas said...

Hi Mona - Your brother is right. We've been especially lucky with a mild winter this year... but as many of our friends in the blogosphere have not been so fortunate, I've kept that information on the down low. My sister lives in New York City and she says they dubbed the last storm "Snow-mageddan".

This is really beautiful, picture and words alike.

A beautiful, delicate, and inspiring piece. And I so look forward to the arrival of true spring, and with it the warm winds of rebirth. Quiet and serene.

We have been welcoming the energy of spring all week where I live, and truly, it renews the hope in my soul.

Happy Monday!

Felicitas said...

Other seasons certainly have their charms but arriving the way it does after winter's harshness, is what makes Spring my favourite of all!

Chris, without hope what have we got?

Nevine, I too feel this is too good to be true... but I'm taking it anyway!

Megan, it was 12º celsius here yesterday - which I think is about 54º fahrenheit. Positively balmy!

LOL Thomas - of course!
