Winter's Gift

A crystalline beauty
Enfolds us
In its delicate pallet
Of glassy hues;
Charmingly cool,
Deceptively inviting.

Diamond-encrusted
Throughways,
Defying brisk resolve;
A veiled admonition
To our reluctant embrace
Of nature's respite.

The gift of the season:
Perhaps as much
About what lies within,
As without;
A well-timed invitation
For reflective pause.

Fel,
Only You can write this well- especially about seasons... it gets to the heart and the skin!
And the picture is perfect too!

Glad to see you back!

Thank you, Dulce! I am very inspired by nature.

Brian - You have been my #1 supporter from the beginning - just as I know you are for so many others. I so appreciate your comments here and wish you and your family only the best.

Shadow - I really do find it easier to appreciate winter from indoors...where it's nice an warm! Lucky you - you won't have to do that for another 4 or 5 months I expect.
