We all have dreams… but what does it take to REALLY pursue them? And what are any of us willing to give up in order to live our lives in a truly extraordinary manner? Comfort, perhaps? Or going against the vision others may have of us? And what’s the ultimate consequence for NOT going for it?
I don’t really want to find out how I will feel at the end of my life if I haven’t pursued my dreams to the nth degree. That doesn’t mean my dreams can’t change along the way… and they are certainly not subject to anyone else’s approval or measuring stick. But to be in pursuit of something (or many things) that makes me feel so fulfilled - complete, even - that is my personal goal.
As extraordinary Canadian athlete Clara Hughes has said: “If you dream and you allow yourself to dream, you can do anything. And that’s what this Olympic medal represents.”
What dreams are you striving toward? What represents Olympic gold in your life?

dreams are the colours and spice in our life and its important to follow them.
my dreams, for now, are to master the drums, continue writing, and keep seeking that inner peace that's nipping around the edges of my life...
My dream is to find true happiness in all I do today and do't settle.
You discussed a subject everyone can relate to. In fact, I've been thinking of that couple of hours ago.
Not-so-long-ago my dream was yo have a book, but then I realized that even if that doesn't happen, I'll not at all stop writing. So, I'm living everyday as it comes with no clear view of the view of the bigger picture.
An Olympian, to me, is when we put forth our personal best toward our heart's desire and humanity every day.
For me, Olympic gold means coming more fully into every moment of my life, and recognizing the innate perfection.
It's all good, and it's all gold. I slowly train my eyes, ears, mind and body to sense that.
Have a beautiful weekend!
For me, it's peace.
