Plague

Mile upon mile of sickening mess: scarring pristine beaches, preying upon true innocents. Is one company responsible, or could our collective greed be to blame?

Sunday 160 is a creation of Monkey Man. If you’d like to participate or check-out other 160s visit him here!

good work

That poor pelican. The photo makes it look like a skeletal rib cage. The damage to wild life will be horrific. Endangered sea turtles migrate through that region...it angers me.

Then ask yourself, did you drive anywhere today? Did you heat or cool your house? Did you use something made of plastic?

We are all to blame.

~it is devastating...and what made me feel just the same as alice is on the news the other day they were listing off all the things in our day to day that are fueled and or created with and from bp...horrific...thank you for your post and shedding light on those who may still be oblivious to what is happening...warm wishes and brightest blessings~

Conglomerate greed, I think. The federal government gets money from the oil leases. No one's mentioned how much.

We can only hope to learn.
I wonder if we humans ever will.
This message reminds us that perhaps
we can all make a difference-
One day.

I drive along the Gulf Coast as a courier for rare blood to rural hosptials. It breaks my heart to see what Man's greed and selfishness has done to helpless wildlife.

Man will someday destroy himself, but will he destroy the world before that?

You have a thought-provoking, lovely blog, Roland

this is immensely sad... yet somehow, blame will not fix it. let's learn from this, stop it, clean it up and work on ways of making sure it doesn't happen again. those poor water animals break my heart...

This horrific thing rests with all of us. Until we all admit our own responsibility then things like this will continue to happen if the earth can stand it.
